movie night, and stolen panda hat

yesterday, we had a movie night at school. they put a screen outside, a bonfire, and we had a picnic at night. we shared food while watching a movie at the school backyard. it was pretty cool. the movie was johnny english. it wasn't bad, but not overly funny, good enough i guess.

after the movie, we went to this place called rock bottom. it's a cafe. and below is a pic of kizo and wahab, doing the same pose. i swear man. they do look like brothers and they did the same pose without even noticing. how funny.

the picture above, is a pic of kat wearing a panda hat, that he stole from me for the night. he took it, and refused to give it back until the time i really had to go home.

oh btw, moyez was like, 'i love your hats' (he fell in love with my russian/german hat from my last post) and i was like, i know i have all those unique hats. :P

and if you notice, in the pics, i'm wearing shorts. yes. a denim cutout from my mom's old jeans. the waist is too big and i need to make it smaller. but i love it. very, very much :D

this is old, but it's okay i'll post it anyway.

adil omar made a live performance at marriot with talal qureshi, OCL, and the cheapmunks. went there for free cuz nida told me to come with her. here's the twist, i was at a halloween party, a good but boring one for me, at the same place. before i went home, nida was like 'can you come with me?' so i was like, okay. i spent the night watching a live performance that was really fun. great experience. :)

the first pic is adil omar, the second and third are me and nida. the hat, was my only costume. i really didn't feel like dressing up. this was the day after wiola and iza's halloween/farewell party. 2 halloweens in a row. that's why i didn't wanna dress up. hahaha.

a sad news, a friend of my closest friends (that i met once, but i don't really know him) just died yesterday. i heard he was killed. he was found dead. but not in paki, in nigeria, so i heard.

this thing just opened my eyes more.. i mean, all those things are possible. it's not a movie scene, it's a real-life situation.

even tho i don't really know him, i know he was a really good friend for my besties here. they were really down, and still are. i feel really sad. he was just 19.. gonna turn 20 this sunday (my friends gonna celebrate his bday..)

i passed all the exams for o level. phew. well, the results are horrible (my best results are Cs) and not worth telling tho.. but at least i passed. -__-"

the national day ceremony went successful and we had a dinner together to celebrate :p

there are new students in my school. i know that there's one chinese in O level and her name is jenny, there're twin sisters in my class their name are myra and shiza, and one more in 9th grade who i don't know the name, yet.

we had iftaar together on wednesday at pizza hut and at the end my friends ended up smoking sheesha and i had to keep on going outside since i couldn;t stand the smoke. some of them got high because of sheesha -__-" and there's this one girl called soffie, she's from norway and she's really pretty! but she did something really funny that makes khyber can't stop making fun of her. btw, the people who stayed till' the late did play a lil' girl (a beggar) and told her they're pakistan's important person's family (it's a lie, of course) and farah's car got stuck khyber and katt should push it. :p

tomorrow (or today :p) we had color clothes day. still deciding between double denim or something warm.. lol.

okay, sooo as an indonesian, i got chosen to participate in the indonesian embassy's flag raiser team (paskibra, what's paskibra in english, btw?) for the independence day ceremony in the embassy. it's been a while since the last time i joined the team. the last time was in junior high. kinda miss it tho. i wanna check on my juniors. ;)

well, because this is ramadhan and pakistan got a really bad flood recently, the embassy cancelled the reception at serena hotel and changed it into something like thanksgiving.. for god. it's not the christian nor chatolic thingy tho.. you know, we call it syukuran. even though i'm a bit disappointed they cancelled the reception i actually agreed they changed the event type. reception (a party like thing) isn't that appropriate in ramadhan and a country that just got hit by a disaster like this.

oh, back to the paskibra thing. we held our rehearsal today.. it was nice. wish me luck for the real ceremony guys!

ps: tomorrow should be the 1st day of my college life (AS level) but nobody's gonna come so maybe i'll come later on :P not tomorrow-that's clear.

i went to sindh festival today at national heritage museum lok virsa. the things were almost the same as the balochistan festival.. and as always.. there were thing from china as well. hahaha. but i found a t-shirt from next. it's real i think (fyi, there's the real next store in lahore..). after that, i went to 1969, the restaurant in front of the museum for some snacks. i ordered cream of chicken (even tho it's not in the menu) and it tasted like indonesian soto ayam. lol.

so, my mom asked me to perform batik in the international gourme at NDU. i agreed.. because we should wear our national dress, i was wearing my bali kebaya. it was my grandma's btw.. :P not the shirt, only the bottom and shawl.

i got many people came to my place, watched me did the batik (a lot of people asked me for pictures.. even when i was finished and was cleaning the stall). lol. you know, i couldn't even leave my sitting place TT__TT because of that, i couldn't even have the sweets (jellybean, etc) from the UK stall. *crying hard* i also missed the food from australia. their stall wasn't very nice.. just a table and some ornament.. BUT! their food was awesome. it finished in a blink of an eye. too bad.. :'( oh, and the stall of american was so minimalist! clean and simple. haha. so typical. XD

i wrote an entry about my bestie since elementary like last year.. (here) and today i was on skype with him. well, the connection was kinda bad.. but who cares, lol. we were talking bout random shits. too bad ayu wasn't there.. :( she's going to netherlands this weekend so she's kinda (i think) busy with the preparation (?)

international festival day at serena hotel islamabad

i went to the festival today. the embassies gave some performances, show up their national dress and dances. there was also a mix of song and dance by russian people. i got a lot of souvenir from so many countries.. XD. even tho some things are kinda expensive (from egypt and turkey) but it's okay. the items are collectable after all. haha. the prawn crackers from brunei are good! they're also cheap. i bought 2 boxes of it only for Rs 300.. lol.

btw, i wore a mini skirt batik and cream top then when i arrived at serena my mom said "go home and change your clothes to something more formal" TT__TT i wore the outfit i wore for valentine party at school. lol. without the coat for sure. my father also changed his outfit from batik shirt into suit because everybody else wore suit.

i also met ronald mc donald there. amazing. hahaha.

my friends that were there: katt, nyssa, nadya, astrid, asma, febby, dika, zin, khyber, anisah, alaa, this nigerian guy and also another indonesian people and asma's friend. i forget her name.. -__- she added me on facebook tho..

i couldn't upload the pics to blogger now.. there was some error.. i dunno what. i'll try to upload it tomorrow :)

oh, and i have school tomorrow.. haha. at least.

me, my dad, and my bro went to the zoo! omg the ticket was super cheap.. Rs 6 for adults and Rs 1 for kids. even tho the place is kinda dirty and smelly but it's okay for that price. it looks nice on the pics after all, lol.

there was a funny part.. i heard a paki called deers as donkeys (wtf -__-"). weird. haha. i couldn't find the brown bear :( and some cages were empty. btw, the souvenir stall sold items which had no connection to the zoo at all. haha. i also realized that the clock at my dining room was bought there -___-

after the zoo, i went to jinnah to find converse or any shoes converse alike for my brother.. but i got nothing. too bad.. -__- and then i went to best price at super to find an eyeliner stick (like crayon) for my mom. i think the called it kalji here.. but i couldn't find it and i bought a dark purple nail polish instead. lol.
